Why join Overture?

Music has been taught the same way since Mozart's generation, and we’re on a mission to change that. Think Duolingo-meets-Guitar-Hero — kids compose, perform, and learn through joyful, social gameplay. We’re looking for passionate on-site teachers who already know their students and campus. That means smoother classes, easier dismissal, and less admin lift for schools, while you earn top pay for a low, predictable time commitment.

Benefits

  • Top pay, low lift: $70/hr, 1~2 hours per week per club
  • Plug-and-play: Zero lesson planning; our kid-friendly games & web-app platform do the heavy lifting for you
  • Fast onboarding & easy pay: Streamlined background checks, simple onboarding (3 hr), bi-weekly direct deposit, timely support via Slack
  • Impact: Bring one of a kind music experience to your own school community
  • Flexible add-ons: Opportunities to teach additional clubs at nearby schools (optional)
  • Professional development: Paid training + higher hourly rate over time

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly after-school Music x Gaming club (K-8, 5–12 students)
  • Create a positive, structured, and fun environment; follow our session flow
  • Take quick attendance, coordinate smooth dismissal, and communicate with our team via Slack
  • Provide fast feedback to help improve games, pacing, and classroom flow (we love teacher input)

What We’re Looking For

  • 🎶 Passion for making music fun and accessible
  • 🧠 Always learning; comfortable trying a new, game-based approach
  • 👶 Enjoys working with kids; dependable and upbeat
